Internet, Warmth, Coffee Available at Oakland Library

WiFi, coffee, warmth and books are available at the Oakland Public Library.

The Oakland Public Library announced they would be open on Wednesday as Bergen County residents suffered the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

"The library has power and the internet is available," said Pierre Rosen, adult service coordinator for the library. "You are welcome to stop by and charge cell phones or other electronics."

The library is, of course, also a great place to get some reading done, and its normal compliment of books would be available.

Rosen also said the library has computers available for public use, as well as coffee.

Library items that were due this week (between Oct. 29 and Nov. 1) have had due dates pushed back to Friday, Nov. 2.
