Women's Institute at Bergen Community College Empower Hour Webinar: "Volunteer Boards: What should you know before you volunteer"

The Women’s Institute at Bergen Community College is hosting a webinar series, Empower Hour, to focus on personal and career skills. The free-of-charge webinar features hosts dedicated to the advancement of women attaining their personal and intellectual goals. Dr. Annette S. Freund, Owner and Managing Director of Freund Associates Technical Communication will conduct our sixth webinar. Dr. Freund holds a doctorate in English from SUNY Albany and has over 20 years of experience in corporate training, technical writing, and marketing. She has combined her teaching and writing skills as a volunteer on many boards – in the private and public sector. Dr. Freund will share important lessons she has learned from volunteers, practical suggestions, concrete practices, and real problem-solving strategies. 

“Volunteers are the backbone of many community organizations. The Institute is excited that Dr. Freund, will share pertinent information to help prospective volunteers choose the right organization," explains Dean Sandra Sroka, Bergen Community College – Hackensack.
