'Dog Park for Oakland' Needs Your Help Designing a Logo

Borough resident Ryan Schwertfeger is asking for a hand in creating the perfect logo

The initiative is picking up steam to build a much talked about dog park here in Oakland.

Ryan Schwertfeger, the project's main proponent, is asking Oakland residents to lend a creative hand in designing its logo.

Several designs have been sent in already, according to Schwertfeger, but he's still accepting entries.

"A few people have already asked me questions as to what I'd want to see in the logo's design," Schwertfeger said on the Dog Park for Oakland, NJ Facebook page. "I didn't want to say in my first post because I would like the designers to be creative and think of something that maybe I didn't think of..but since a few wanted a general idea, this is what I was envisioning, but please do not limit yourself to fit these ideas."

Schwertfeger enumerates details such as earthy colors, "either the name of the park, Jill Schwertfeger Memorial Dog Park, or a general term, such as Oakland Dog Park," a generic picture of a dog, a "picture of an oak tree (since we are Oakland and it is being called Great White Oak Park.)"
