Ex-Bergen Yeshiva Teacher Pleads Guilty in Child Pornography Case

A former teacher at a Paramus Yeshiva who worked with youth in Teaneck has pleaded guilty to child pornography and exploitation charges, federal prosecutors announced Tuesday.

The ex-Yeshivat Noam teacher, 27-year-old Evan Zauder, used the Internet to entice a 14 to 15-year old in New Jersey to engage in sexual activity two times between April and November of 2011, prosecutors said. Between December 2010 and May 2011, he also amassed a collection of hundreds of videos and pictures showing child pornography stored on four devices seized during an FBI search of his Manhattan apartment in May.

Cops: Los Angeles Dodgers Coach Burglarized by Ex-Employee

An ex-employee of former Los Angeles Dodgers player and current coach, Garett Teel, was arrested Tuesday on charges thatthe 22-year-old Hawthorne man stole $25,000, according to Wyckoff Police.

Ridgewood Woman Accused of Threatening to Shoot Medical Office Staffer

A 62-year-old village woman is facing terroristic threat charges for allegedly threatening to shoot a doctor's office employee on Friday.

Sherryl Piroso phoned a Ridgewood Avenue doctor's office at approximately 11:30 a.m. and said she would "get a gun and shoot her," Ridgewood Police Det. Chris McDowell told Patch.

Zoeller Resigns As Westwood Regional Superintendent

Dr. Geoffrey Zoeller, the superintendent ofWestwood Regional Schools, resigned from his position effective April 25 via a letter to the school board. The board unanimously voted to accept his resignation at their meeting Thursday.

Zoeller had been criticized by many for taking home a school-owned truck and generator for Hurricane Sandy, then leaving them there while away on vacation in Florida. 

'Hunger Games' Crew Filming Flick in Oakland

A production company was filming a movie in Oakland Friday, officials confirmed.

The filming was taking place somewhere in the woods of Ramapo Mountain State Park off Skyline Drive.
