Oakland Voters Approve School Budget

Budget calls for an average tax increase of $98.

Oakland voters approved the district’s proposed 2014-15 budget, school officials announced on the district website Wednesday night.

According to a NorthJersey.com election report, the budget will cost the average homeowner in Oakland a $98 school tax increase.

In Wednesday’s election, two incumbents - James Gaffney and John Scerbo – were also reelected to the Oakland Board of Education, the report said.
